Investigate On-Location Accident at Eddie Murphy's 'The Pickup' Reveals No Safety Violations

An on-set injury at the location of Eddie Murphy's movie, The Pickup left eight staff members in the hospital, but the body investigating the accident could not ascertain any infringement of workplace safety and health. According to a report issued by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) on 24th October, an inspection which ended on the 17th of October found no violations of occupational safety and health standards.

It happened on April 20th in a filmed scene of an action where an armored GMC and BMW clash. They roll over each other. In this video grab of a crash, both the cars roll over; two personnel were thrown out of the armoured vehicle, whose rear doors were open. Eight personnel reportedly from the blast were rushed to the nearest hospitals by emergency responders. Five are rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia; while three others are taken to WellStar Cobb Medical Center in Austell, Georgia. None of the cast are on location when this explosion and taking of precious lives occurred, among them Murphy.

The IATSE union, which represents film crew employees, thanked OSHA for its investigation and said the crew members are as worried about safety as they are about seeing to a good working environment on every employee. Amazon MGM Studios, which produced the movie "The Pickup," had no comment on how things worked out but had said earlier in the fact that safety measures were reviewed and monitored throughout filming.

The movie of Pickup featured Keke Palmer and Marshawn Lynch beside Pete Davidson, and it has also not given any date for its release.
