The Royal Tour Continues as The Couple Arrived in Samoa for The Commonwealth Summit, Where King Charles And Queen Camilla Landed

King Charles and Queen Camilla have arrived in Samoa as part of a continued royal tour. The couple arrived yesterday for the second leg of their trip upon receiving a welcome from Prime Minister Fiamē Naomi Mataʻafa. Arriving for the welcome was the King, who held a brief meeting with the Prime Minister to discuss the days ahead.

The royal couple is in Samoa to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, with themes including sustainability, biodiversity, and societal resilience. For the visit, King Charles will undertake environmental efforts - going to mangrove forests and officially launching the new "King's Garden" at Samoa's Botanical Garden. Queen Camilla will give time to literacy programs and aid domestic violence survivors, going to a local Pastor's School and the Samoa Victim Support Group.

This is the first time he attends CHOGM as Head of the Commonwealth. Delegations from 56 countries will discuss building a resilient and sustainable future when the summit between October 21 to 26 convenes.

The royal tour follows their visit to Australia, which was King Charles' first foreign trip as monarch. The couple is expected to conclude their tour after stops in New Orleans and Toronto. The King has maintained a positive spirit throughout, even with some disruptions, such as the protests in Australia, despite having paused cancer treatment for the trip.
