Tom Holland Confirms Spider-Man 4 Starts Filming Summer 2025: 'I Can't Wait'

Officially swinging back into action, Tom Holland will be reprising the role of Spider-Man in the long-awaited Spider-Man 4, which is set to go into filming during summer 2025. He appeared on The Tonight Show on October 22 where he responded to questions from Jimmy Fallon regarding the project's said-to-be-starred date by confirming, "Next summer, we start shooting, everything's good to go. We're nearly there. Super exciting. Yeah, I can't wait.".
This next entry follows on from 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Holland shared time with both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in a groundbreaking crossover that marked two decades of Spider-Man films. True, there was pent-up excitement from fans, but the news about Spider-Man 4 emerged slowly into public knowledge over time, both through Holland and studio mandarins talking about how a sequel was indeed in the works.
Along with his Spider-Man return, Holland is also set to star once more in a lead role-this time, however, with Christopher Nolan's next film-the supposed early 2025 shoot film that may be out in July 2026. Universal Pictures would neither confirm nor deny anything about this movie, but insiders close to the matter reveal that the said film may also feature Matt Damon.
Neither Marvel Studios nor Sony has spoken in public yet about whether or not Zendaya is returning to play M.J. in Spider-Man 4; Holland did say that him and the two recently went over a draft of the script. "There are a few things we need to sort out before we can really get that going, but it's exciting," Holland said on an October 17 podcast. "And I'm really, really excited about it.".
